Ammonia Awareness

Description: Ammonia is an extremely useful chemical It is used as a refrigerant, a cleaning and bleaching agent, and a household cleanser. It is also used to produce fertilizers, plastics, explosives and pharmaceuticals. It is found in water, soil, and air, and is a source of much needed nitrogen for plants and animals. There are, however, some hazards associated with ammonia. The purpose of this course is to discuss these hazards and how to protect against them.
