Investigating Pipeline Failure
Description:
This course covers procedures for analyzing pipeline accidents and failures. The course content includes gathering facts of an investigation of failed section, of failed pipe or equipment for laboratory analysis-determine the cause for failures and minimizing the possibility for recurrence; cutting samples of pipe to be analyzed-the packing and shipping of the pipe section to the lab and the documentation required. The module also reviews requirements for continuing surveillance of pipeline facilities.
