Installation Plastic Mains - PT2

Description: Upon completion of this module the student will be familiar with the methods used for the direct burial of plastic pipe. The student will be familiar with the procedures used in direct burial of plastic pipe, understand the recommended procedures for tie-ins and tapping service punch tees, be able to determine when squeezing plastic pipe is desirable, as well as be able to follow the squeeze-off procedure to complete the operation. The student will be able to determine when it is desirable to insert plastic pipe in an existing line, as well as be able to follow the plastic pipe insertion procedure. The student will be able to explain the procedure for pressure testing mains and services, understand and be able to perform the procedure for purging mains, understand the procedures involved in repairing PVC pipe, determine when it is desirable to insert plastic pipe in an existing line, as well as be able to follow the plastic pipe insertion procedure.
